Margaret Nunes Da SilvaInternational Intellectual Property Consultant Margaret Nunes Da Silva is an attorney-at-law, both in Brazil and Portugal. She is also a Brazilian patent and trademark agent. WIPO domain name panelist, and legal representative before The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). She is based in Italy and assists Italian and foreign clients - mainly from South America - whose businesses require intellectual property assistance in the United States. Prior to moving to Italy in 2001, Margaret worked in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo as an attorney-at-law for 18 years.Ms. Da Silva has extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property in Brazil, including litigation. She assists clients concerning their trademark portfolio and management and helping them to develop a filing strategy to obtain optimum protection for their intellectual property rights in the European Union. Moreover, she provides search reports for potentially conflicting trademarks and evaluates whether trademarks can even be registered.
