Paolo A. StrinoAssociate Paolo A. Strino, concentrates his extensive trademark practice in domestic and international trademark clearance and prosecution; opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His is also experienced in a number of related areas including trademark infringement, counterfeiting and dilution; false advertising; and domain name dispute resolution. Mr. Strino also counsels clients on copyright matters with emphasis on registration and protection. A trained attorney in both Italy and the United States, he is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, he has significant experience in advising clients on general Corporate matters with a special focus on international and cross-border transactions. Prior to moving to the United States, Mr. Strino worked in Milan as a legal consultant at Dianoia – Ernst & Young, where he rendered strategic advice on legal, trade and business issues to foreign companies interested in conducting business in Italy. During this time, his responsibilities also included providing advice; drafting software licensing and systems operation agreements and offering legal and business advice to international companies interested in expanding in Italy. Before joining Lucas & Mercanti, Mr. Strino worked for several years at a prominent Philadelphia-based law firm where he concentrated in corporate law.
