Klaus P. Stoffel practices in all areas of intellectual property law with a primary focus in the prosecution of patents, rendering legal opinions and advising clients on infringement and validity issues mainly in the mechanical and electrical arts.


He is experienced in a wide range of technologies, including; automotive; engines and engine controls; lock systems; weaponry; printing equipment; metallurgy; chemical processes; elevators; escalators; medical devices; materials science; nanotechnology; optics; lasers; telecommunications; and designs.

Additionally, Mr. Stoffel has prosecuted patent applications involving equipment for making chip sets, the structure of chip sets, navigation systems, and various types of control systems.

In the automotive field, Mr. Stoffel has, for example, prosecuted patent applications involving hydrodynamic torque converters, bearings, clutches, transmissions, engines, suspensions, convertible roof mechanisms, seating, and brake systems.

Mr. Stoffel also maintains an extensive trademark practice.

His trademark practice involves all aspects of securing trademark protection and enforcing trademarks.

Mr. Stoffel is fluent in German.
